If, like me, you have a tendency to get over excited about the vino on a Friday night – this is the perfect pick-me-up on the following Saturday morning. A zingy little burst of goodness to replenish and restore. It’s one of those where you really don’t taste the spinach – even though there’s a huge handful in the glass above.
I find the pears whizz up really nicely in the food processor and create a nice thick texture – even more so when they’re frozen. This is so easy it’s hardly a recipe – but hope you enjoy!
Hope you enjoy!
Pear, Lime and Spinach Smoothie
(serves 1)
1 frozen pear, cut into chunks
1 frozen banana, cut into chunks
1 large handful spinach
200ml apple juice
juice of 1 lime
Method:
1. Whizz up all the ingredients in a food processor and pour into a glass.
Another one to definitely try out – I do love spinach, but I’ve never had it in a smoothie before, but the additional pear and lime will probably go wonderfully with it. – Tasha

To be honest you can’t really taste it – I just like the fact it’s there! H

Must admit, I’m not sure I like the flavour combo in this one. I have been enjoying lemon or lime in my water, but I don’t think I’d like it in my smoothie. Also pears are very hit and miss for me, I have to really be in the mood for them.
Different strokes for different folks and all that though 🙂

I’m a bit of a citrus fiend so I love the zingyness! If that’s a word!
