Storecupboard Pea and Lemon Dip

IMG_2272After I’d had a little taste of this straight from the food processor I couldn’t wait too long faffing around with the photo I’m afraid to say – but let me assure you this is super delicious. Sweet and lemony and so so simple. And so so moreish.

The idea was born out of an empty fridge and a hungry Helen. I could have just had the bread, drizzled with a little oil perhaps, or slathered in butter and speckled with marmite. I did have a lemon however, and was going to make hummus, but I fancied something a little fresher, not as claggy, after a heavy meal the night before. The freezer wasn’t looking too clever until I unearthed some trusty garden peas, and voila! Frozen peas, lemon juice, splash of oil and a bit of salt = YUM šŸ™‚

Storecupboard Pea and Lemon Dip

1 handful frozen peas, defrosted
1 tablespoon lemon juice
splash olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt


  1. Blitz all in a food processor
  2. Eat
