After a quiet and lovely weekend of walks and films, this coming week is a higgledy piggledy mix of me being out and about, friends coming to stay, him being away and a birthday. So as a provisional plan:
Monday – Fish pie. I made a batch of the component parts yesterday and made Fish Pie 1, and will cook Fish Pie 2 tonight. I based it on this recipe but used way less fish and no cheese due to a desire for some frugal feasts and the no-cheese-on-my-plate-please boyfriend. In fact, I adapted it so much I think I’ll blog my amends, as it was quite simply the best fish pie I’ve ever had, even if I say so myself, which i just did. Gosh was it good.
Tuesday – Tomato, carrot and onion chilli pasta. A lovely bowl of comfort food, which I shall eat from a bowl in front of the tv, topped with a small mountain of mature cheddar.
Wednesday – Chickpea burgers with piles of sweetcorn, beetroot, tomato and cucumber.
Thursday – Some more chickpea burgers.
Friday – Jacket potatoes with crumbled stilton.
Saturday – Out with friends
Sunday – Out just us two.
