Meal Planning Monday

The pulled pork buns were v v yummy and the highlight of my cooking this week. They’d be great for feeding a crowd – just stick more meat in the oven! I also think the bread is rather crucial. Ours were just your average white buns – but I think the softness is important for maximum bite pleasure – no crusty bits scratching on the roof of your mouth thankyou very much.

I’ve been reading the fabulous Myblueandwhitekitchen blog this week – how have I missed this in all my many hours of pouring over food blogs? Beautiful photography and nordic inspired recipes. I LOVE all things Scandinavian – and this rhubarb recipe is getting me in the mood for some rhubarb crumble mmmmmm.

Here we go for this week for Mealplanningmonday this week:

Monday – Extra Veg and Extra Easy Spaghetti Bolognese  (made on Sunday – recipe coming soon)
Tuesday – Extra Veg and Extra Easy Spaghetti Bolognese #2
Wednesday – Sausages, wedges and broccoli
Thursday – Ham and Lemony Leek Tagliatelle
Friday – Smoked Salmon and Lemony Leek Tagliatelle (see what I did there?)
Saturday – eating out
Sunday – seems so far away – will decide later!

Looking forward to seeing yours!

Helen x

I do like the sound of the salmon…..Sounds like a great week of food!

  3. Whitablether – thanks – and yes, the two ways means I can do a big batch of softening leeks and garlic – then add the ham or smoked salmon when I reheat it!

  4. Family Heights – thanks! I have to say I can’t quite recreate the way my mum used to do it – so I have to visit to get the best version – but it’s quite scrummy all the same!

Oh that pulled pork recipe looks lovely – I think I’m going to have to give it a go. The lemony leek tagliatelle sounds good too.
